We were commissioned to design at a particular location, Brennerbaan 104. We chose a building in an organic form with a plant-rich garden around it. Because I wanted to experience what it is like to design a garden with plants, I took on that task. This took a lot of work, which did not go against me because I enjoyed doing it. The only thing I missed was a maquette that properly represented what the garden could look like. luckily I was able to do this in a project later.
I placed the plants in a sloping height so that the plants really create a landscape.
The landscape is thereby enhanced by flowers that bloom throughout the year. I looked for a balance that color could be found almost year-round. And the landscape of plants changes throughout the year and remains interesting.
With this, I also looked at trees that get a beautiful leaf color in the fall. Combined with a single plant species that also blooms then.
